2 Years Results ... Spent $9,344.53 ... Saved $30,556.73

Two years ago we started using the super couponing method hoping to save a little bit of money but skeptical that it would be really worth it.  After the first year we were believers.  As I look over the results page from my spreadsheet I am amazed at how much we saved.  Blank version of my Receipt Log can be downloaded here to track couponing for yourself.

Our weekly budget before couponing was $175 per week.  Our average after 2 years is now $89.48 per week.  It was $113.46 per week after the first year.

Using our budget from before coupons 2 years should cost $18,250; we spent $9,344.53.  That means we saved almost $9,000 over 2 years that was cash in our pocket, which averages to saving $372 per month.  Now consider we also had savings from the coupons that basically count as free product, which so far adds up to $21,626.26.  So our total combined savings for 2 years is $30,556.73.

Savings Percentage shows well you are doing, the higher the percentage the less you spent and the more free stuff you got.  Our average was 70%.

As far as stores go, Publix was the store we spent the most at $3,925 and saved the most $8,327.39 for 68%.  Rite Aid was our most consistent pharmacy spending $1,190.89 and saving $4,776.47 for 80%.  We used Walmart, Winn Dixie, and Walgreens less and less as time went by.
