If you have seen nearly any coupon blogs recently they are all buzzing about the first episode of TLC's new series "Extreme Couponing", and it hasn't been with praise. Couponers use sale prices and combine them with coupons to get the best price possible and save money. The show displays shopping trips with fantastic savings, but it appears one of those trips may have been done using barcode technology loophole to intentionally commit fraud. How much of her $1800 'savings' was actually theft by fraud? This is bad for the people that use coupons correctly on many levels, and the fact that TLC put it on the air either purposefully or they didn't know better is very disappointing. There are enough experts around that TLC could have contacted as an advisor to make sure things like this do not happen on their show.
